The family run Three Horseshoe Inn is situated in the popular rural retreat of Llangeitho, a little village deep in the heart of the Aeron within easy reach of probably the UK’s finest stretch of coastline - Cardigan Bay - home to, amongst other things, dolphins, seals and large variety of bird life.
Other Local nearby places of interest include New Quay, Aberystwyth, Tregaron, Lampeter, Aberaeron, Devil’s Bridge, the Cambrian Mountains, Elan Valley and the Teifi Valley.
It’s also a very popular area for people with such interests as bird-watching, angling, cycling and walking
The Three Horseshoe itself is a hub for village life, and is frequented by some wonderful characters; the pub has a reputation for good food and quality beer that draws in locals from outlying villages as well as holidaymakers. The beautiful garden at the rear and side of the pub is the ideal place to relax and enjoy a pint of real ale or a glass of wine on a lazy summer evening.
The pub has its own self catering accommodation that sleeps 3/4. And has again been awarded 4 stars by the Welsh Tourist Board for the fourth year running. The owners are happy to accommodate pets by prior arrangement and provide bed linen, towels etc at no extra charge. This is the perfect retreat for a short break or extended holiday in Ceredigion. Children welcome and plenty of parking available.
The nearby market town of Tregaron lies close to the mountainous source of the river Teifi and nestles at the southern end of Cors Goch Caron, a huge red-tinged marshland that is a National Nature Reserve and famous for the variety of birds, including the rare Red Kite.
To the east of Tregaron lies mile after mile of heathered upland, once the haunt of Twm Sion Cati, the Robin Hood of Wales. This is one of the last great unspoilt upland regions of Wales.
