Set in the beautiful rural scenery of the village of Llansadurnen just outside the Township of Laugharne and with-in walking distance of Dylan Thomas’s famous ‘Boathouse’ and Laugharne Castle. In Laugharne there is a good range of Pubs, Restaurants, Shops, Post office and Chemist.
The Barns are ideally situated for Pendine beach just 5 minutes away with its safe bathing and glorious miles of soft golden sands. Saundersfoot (10 miles away) has a harbour and another safe beach for swimming plus a range of shops pubs and restaurants. Tenby with its glorious beaches and quaint cobbled streets is only 15 miles from The Barns.
Those seeking a more scenic, walking and rural pursuit can venture into the beautiful countryside of Carmarthen ‘The Garden of Wales’ and visit the Botanical and Aberglasney Gardens or cross over the border into ‘The Pembrokeshire National Park’ for spectacular scenery including the ‘Preseli Mountains’. There are cycle ways, coastal paths, horse riding, all close by. For surfers there are nearby beaches which (depending on the weather) are ideal.
The Old Cow Barn has 3 bedrooms the barn sleeps 2-7 comfortably, it has all the facilities for the Disabled or elderly, a spacious lounge, excellent modern kitchen with all amenities and a dining area, Digital wide screen television, Large easily accessed wet room. Full central heating. A paved patio with barbeque and drying area and much more .
The Mill and Stable has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 2-9 and has all the same facilities for Disabled and elderly, and fitted out to a similar standard as The Cow Barn.
The Old Cow Barn and The Mill & Stable are part of Llansadurnen Farm, situated in the rural hilltop village of Llansadurnen. The Ancient Township of Laugharne is close by ‘The home of Dylan Thomas’ and his famous ‘Under Milk wood’ written at ‘The Boat-house’ which overlooks the Laugharne Estuary.
‘The Old Cow Barn’ has been beautifully converted from the Original Cow barn that forms part of the farmyard. This Luxury Barn has been tastefully renovated to a high standard, with slate floors and exposed beams, keeping many of the original features.
The Mill & Stable was converted from a grain store and stable. where they kept the horses that worked on the land, we have kept some of the original features in the barn a polley shaft across the lounge area which drove the mill in the early 40’s , also there are photos on the wall showing some of the animals that were on the farm in the early years.
There is a large modern open plan kitchen, dining area and a spacious lounge, with all the conveniences of a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge / freezer, hob and oven, and micro-wave. There are plenty of cupboards and work surface areas. The lounge has a large Leather settee and a 28 inch widescreen television with free Sky satellite for your stay, a DVD player is also provided
All Heating, Hot water and Electric is provided with-in your rental fee (additional charge of 25 pounds during winter months)
There are two spacious bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 double and 1 twin. The ground floor wet room has wheelchair access and disabled aids, with basin, toilet and large shower area. The first floor bedroom accommodates 3 single beds and en-suite facilities of a roll-top bath, basin and toilet. There are extensive views from this bedroom of the rolling countryside to the Preseli hills and beyond. A cot can be provided upon request.
