Broad Marston Manor, an historic nine-bed roomed country house of mellow Cotswold stone dating back to the reign of Henry III. Drive in through the stone-pillared entrance along a sweeping, tree-lined carriageway to the Tudor-arched, iron-studded front door.

Today, this handsome creeper-clad house, whose history and architecture spans more than seven centuries, plays host to Great Occasions - an exciting new concept where groups of up to twenty discerning friends can escape together for a few days and sample the lifestyle of a gentler age.

Surrounded by semi-formal, long established gardens, The Manor enjoys seclusion within it's own extensive grounds. Yet on the doorstep lie some of the Cotswolds most beautiful towns and villages.

Broad Marston Manor is a perfect location for all group activities ranging from birthdays, anniversaries and reunions to corporate events like team building, workshops and meetings.

We offer the ideal venue to hold that really special occasion where you as host can meet and greet your guests and dine together in style.

The house features a large Dining Room with seating for twenty around one long table and a spacious fully equipped kitchen - everything you need to self-cater for a large group with catering available by arrangement.

With stone-mullioned windows, a wealth of old beams, Jacobean staircase and fine period furniture, the house retains all the charm of years gone by - yet offers modern warmth and comfort.

Accommodation for a further eight guests is now available in the Coach House just a few steps across the courtyard from the main house. A dining room to seat thirty plus a fully equipped kitchen make this ideal for catered parties as well as corporate meetings.

Centrally located in the North Cotswolds, The Manor is easily accessible from all parts of the country and surrounded by some of the most beautiful towns and villages in the area. Stratford-upon-Avon (9 miles), Broadway (8 miles), Chipping Campden (5 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (12 miles) and Cheltenham (25 miles).

We also have the benefit of a mainline station and an excellent local taxi service. Birmingham airport is 40 minutes away, and Heathrow 1 1/2 hours.

There are several National Trust Properties nearby including Hidcote Manor Gardens, Snowshill Manor, Charlecote Manor, Batsford Arboretum, Kiftsgate Gardens, the Model Village at Bourton-on-the Water and of course, the many Shakespearian experiences in and around Stratford-upon-Avon.

In addition to its scenery and architectural heritage, the Cotswolds offer some of the best walking country in Britain - plus an abundance of cosy village pubs, inns and restaurants catering for all tastes.

The Boathouse….an entirely new venture for “Great Occasions” is a large barn conversion on the edge of a pretty riverside village near Stratford-upon-Avon. This exciting new venue offers spacious self-catering accommodation for larger groups (re-unions, birthdays, anniversaries etc.) for up to 16 guests.

With frontage to the River Avon, the Boathouse also provides an ideal venue for small corporate events including Team Building, Away Days and Management Training.

Ground floor accommodation offers a large open-plan living area, a contemporary well equipped kitchen, a separate dining room to seat 16, a cloakroom plus 3 double en-suite bedrooms. A mezzanine gallery upstairs gives access to 2 double and 3 twin bedrooms each with private facilities.

Glazed doors from the living area open onto a wide, sunny terrace with BBQ and garden furniture, whilst an attractive decking area, now incorporating a Baltic Pine Hot Tub, makes the ideal spot to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the boats cruise by!

Just over ½ hour from Birmingham International Airport, and within easy access of the motorways, The Boathouse stands in it’s own extensive grounds with mature trees and wide lawns sweeping down to the water’s edge. With full mooring, fishing rights and two golf courses within 5 miles, this location offers endless possibilities for outdoor pursuits.

Or alternatively enjoy this spectacular stretch of the River Avon on an original narrow boat - upstream to Stratford and downstream to Welford Lock - maybe disembarking at the Four Alls for a pub lunch or take your own picnic!

Well defined footpaths give easy access to nearby village shops and pubs and a slightly longer hike the other way (about 3 miles) leads right into Stratford-upon-Avon!
