Blackadon is perfect for a Devon self catering holiday, a beautiful holiday cottage retreat set in 4 peaceful acres on the most southerly part of Dartmoor over-looking the coast.

Plenty of space in the grounds to relax to enjoy the peace & quiet of Devon. The self catering cottages are surrounded by scheduled seating areas set amongst trees and a flat play area.
Your South Devon holiday cottage offers easy access to South Devon’s many attractions. Dartmouth, Salcombe, Burgh Island Dartmoor & the Eden Project are within easy reach of your holiday cottage in Devon. Help feed the chickens, ducks & geese. The goat is in the field below the Farm House welcomes company.

Living at Blackadon Farm for nine years has been a fantastic learning experience - “The Good Life” has been the driving force behind our current life style with animals and attempts at growing our own food - goats & chickens permitting! The first photographs we have of Blackadon show just how the cottages have developed from the shells we first saw to the holiday cottages we offer you today.

We are creating a family enterprise as our two children assist in different aspects of the holidays we offer you.

Shire Cottage sleeps 10+

It has been converted to a high standard. Your holiday cottage overlooks a granite cobbled courtyard and through the trees to the Moor. Our guests have described it as very spacious and cosy. The lounge has 3 sofas and easy chairs and a Colour TV with a Sky Digi Box and video, and a mini stereo with a cd & cassette player. The separate Dining Room has a large dining table easily seats 10.

The separate kitchen has a 5 burner gas hob & double electric oven and grill, 2 fridges one with a freezer compartment, a combination microwave and a dishwasher plus ample glasses, dishes etc.

There are 5 twin bedrooms all en-suite ( shower and basin and W.C).

A Gas fired boiler provides instant hot water and radiator central heating. We do ask that there is no smoking in the cottage. There is a separate area for laundry. All fuel and bed linen are included. We ask if guests could bring their own towels. In the guest information booklet there are details of the area around the cottage & suggestions of local attractions.

Lower Barn Cottage sleeps 6 :

It has been converted to the high standard with many of the original features of the Victorian Barns incorporated including the beams. Lower Barn cottage overlooks a granite cobbled courtyard and through the trees to the coast. Our guests have described it as very spacious & cosy. The lounge has suite and a Colour TV with a Sky Digi Box & video, and a mini stereo with a CD/cassette player.

The kitchen has a electric hob and oven, fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave & a dishwasher plus ample glasses, dishes etc.

A one end of the cottage there is an ( en-suite ) 4 poster double bedroom with ( shower & basin & W.C). There are two twin bedrooms at the other end of the cottage and a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.

A combination gas-fired boiler provides instant hot water and radiator central heating. We do ask that there is no smoking in the cottage. There is a separate area for laundry. All fuel and bed linen are included. We ask if guests could bring their own towels. Buzzard Cottage sleeps 6 / 7:

It has been converted to a high standard with many of the original features of the Victorian Barns incorporated including the beams. Buzzard cottage overlooks a granite cobbled courtyard. Our guests have described it as very spacious and cosy. The lounge has a suite & a Colour TV with a Sky Digit Box & video, and a mini stereo with a CD/cassette player.

The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, a fridge with freezer compartment, a microwave and a dishwasher plus ample glasses, dishes etc.

Upstairs there is an en-suite double bedroom (shower & basin and W.C), a bunk area with an extra bed and a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. A twin bedroom is up a spiral staircase.
