Birchill Farm is set in the heart of the Devon countryside, surrounded by farming and woodland. The farm has six beautifully converted barns, each with thick stone walls and intriguing interiors. Central heating is provided so that the cosy, warm surroundings can be enjoyed at any time of the year. All six holiday cottages have their own laundry facilities, microwaves, barbeques and widescreen televisions with DVD and Freeview. A range of baby equipment is available.

Birchill Farm Cottages have their own private gardens in addition to access to the extensive grounds. The farm is set within eight acres and has a woodland walk leading to a stream and a water meadow. Young children can enjoy a range of outdoor play facilities.

If you’re on holiday for simple peace and quiet, then you don’t even need to go out! On the other hand, there are dozens of places to visit - with children or without.

The Tarka Trail, a 180-mile long distance footpath is just a mile away, perfect for cyclists or walkers. The North Devon coast is less than half an hour by car - Hartland Point, Instow and Clovelly are all in easy reach and ideal for a day out, whatever the weather.

The Granary
A delightful conversion of a former granary and roundhouse, The Granary is the largest of the six cottages - the last word in comfort, a true home from home.

The Granary is furnished in a contemporary style with a host of modern conveniences including widescreen surround sound TV and DVD, separate fridge and freezer, dishwasher and fully automatic washer-dryer as standard. There is a spectacular patio featuring outdoor furniture and an enclosed lawned area reached through a set of French windows leading off the lounge.

Ideally suited for the larger family, The Granary’s warm, comfortable atmosphere makes it equally inviting for the smaller group looking for a generous helping of space and luxury.

Bryony Cottage
If you’re looking for a true farm cottage holiday, Bryony Cottage is the one for you. Beautifully appointed and sleeping up to four (plus cot if required), Bryony offers:

Bedroom 1 – double with en-suite bathroom
Bedroom 2 – two “zip & link” beds (i.e. can be two singles or one large double)
Family shower room
Fully fitted kitchen/diner with microwave, fridge freezer and washer drier
Generously sized lounge

Bryony has widescreen TV, a DVD player and Freeview connection in addition to a portable stereo system on which to play all your favourite music.

Thick stone walls and cottage style ceilings give all of our cottages that cosy, farmhouse feel that you just won’t find elsewhere. There’s even a woodland walk that leads down to a stream and water meadow.

Duck Pond Cottage
Positioned on the edge of our woodland walk, Duck Pond Cottage offers an opportunity to enjoy a country holiday in detached, well-appointed surroundings.

The cottage sleeps two adults (plus two children).

Oak Apple Cottage
is one of our two newly completed, beautifully furnished barn conversions. Accommodation is semi-detached and on two levels.

Oak Apple features a lounge and dining/kitchen area in open plan style:

Fully fitted kitchen with electric fan oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave.
Cosy lounge area with electric wood burning stove, comfortable sofas, colour TV, Freeview, DVD and radio /CD player.

A staircase leads to two character bedrooms with beams and sloping ceilings:

Bedroom 1: double with en-suite bathroom; bath with shower over, wash basin and WC.
Bedroom 2: twin bedded. Oak Apple has zip and link option (can be joined to make a six foot super king size bed on request), with adjacent shower room; shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.

is a spacious, detached, single storey barn conversion designed to sleep two people in comfort. Furnished in contemporary style, it has an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, washer dryer, oven and hob.

The lounge area has comfortable sofas, colour TV with DVD and Freeview. A king size bed and fitted wardrobes are features of the bedroom that leads into a luxurious en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower cubicle.

An enclosed garden area with patio furniture and barbecue is to be found to the front of Willow Cottage. To the rear, green fields affording privacy, peace and quiet.

Room for a cot is available in the bedroom making Willow suitable for a small family.
