Avalon Cottage, Glastonbury, Somerset self catering holiday cottages

Avalon Cottage is a 15th Century Grade II listed home set in the heart of Glastonbury within a short stroll of the High Street and walking distance of The Tor. We have recently been assessed by Visit Britain - Quality in Tourism and we are delighted to have been awarded four stars, their guarantee of a high standard of accommodation in every respect.

The cottage was completely refurbished at the beginning of 2006 and is now ready to offer you a comfortable and peaceful holiday in an antique setting, with the benefit of all modern comforts and facilities.

The cottage is equipped with broadband internet access and we are happy to make this available to responsible adults.

There are three bedrooms comprising two double rooms with double beds and a single room. The main bedroom has the benefit of an en suite shower room and there is a family bathroom with a big bath and shower over. The beds and bedding are new and extremely comfortable.

The cottage has full gas central heating and a south facing patio garden. The local post office/convenience store is nearby and all of Glastonbury’s sacred and historic sites are within walking distance.

The above description doesn’t even begin to convey the special atmosphere which is instantly discernable as soon as you set foot through the door. Avalon Cottage is a happy, calming place and seems to make everyone feel completely at home and relaxed.

We are very strictly non smoking and we beg you not to come to us if you feel that you would be unable to adhere to this rule. Generally speaking, pets are not invited, though we have occasionally accepted small, well behaved dogs, though only by prior arrangement.

Our prices are very reasonable and in line with other quality accommodation in town. As a guide, a week in the low season is £350 and the high season is £550 with mid price weeks during the rest of the year. Changeover day is Saturday.
